Foundation Supporting MA Homeless with Cash Raffle

Hanscom AFB, MA (September 21, 2020) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Hanscom Federal Credit Union, will be running their biennial cash raffle in support of  local children in need. The funds raised will go to the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s (CCUA) Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless A Bed for Every Child initiative. Raffle tickets sales are open to members only and will go on sale from September 28 and will end when either tickets sell out or on December 4, whichever occurs first. A winner will be drawn on December 4.

“Everyone here at the credit union and foundation are looking forward to this year’s raffle,” said Paul Marotta, Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation’s chairman. “This fundraiser never fails to draw a lot of attention and support to the Coalition year after year. We’re so glad to be able to support A Bed for Every Child and their mission of bringing children of the Commonwealth the comfort of their own warm bed.”

The Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless is the oldest advocacy group for the homeless in the commonwealth. Its relationship with the credit union and the CCUA is long-standing, marked by countless fundraising and support efforts.

“We understand the importance of the decades-long partnership between the CCUA and the Coalition, and are always honored to play a role in that,” Marotta said. “It’s heartwarming to see so many members of our community come together to help those who need it, especially in this particularly challenging year, as neighbors supporting neighbors.”
