HFCU Charitable Foundation to honor Martin J. Walsh and Coleman Nee for Service to Veterans

LITTLETON, MA (July 28, 2025) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that its Charitable Foundation will honor Martin J. Walsh, former Boston Mayor and U.S. Secretary of Labor, and Coleman Nee, former Massachusetts Secretary of Veterans’ Services, at its Annual Golf Classic and Honorary Awards Dinner on September 29 at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton.
Mr. Walsh will be presented with the 2025 Brigadier General Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse II Leadership Award, the Hanscom Federal Credit Union Charitable Foundation’s highest recognition for unwavering commitment to veterans in need. His steadfast advocacy for the U.S. service members and their families exemplifies the spirit and legacy of Brigadier General Woodhouse, one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen.
Mr. Nee will receive the 2025 Minuteman Award, which recognizes outstanding service to our nation’s veterans. The title Minuteman pays tribute to the brave colonial militia who stood ready to defend freedom at a moment’s notice. Mr. Nee’s enduring commitment to country, community, and his fellow veterans truly reflects the courage and spirit embodied by these early American heroes.
